The Student Program Coordinator (SPC) applications are available NOW. We are seeking candidates for our S.M.A.R.T., Multicultural Student Council, and MLR positions.

Women of Color Day celebration March 11

The Multicultural Student Council will be holding its 3rd Annual Women of Color Day Celebration and Reception on Tuesday, March 11, from 4-5 p.m. in the Multicultural Center.

The event is based on Informal discussion about the unique experiences of women of color on Elon’s campus.

“Women of Color Be BOLD, Be Beautiful” T-Shirts are on sale for $5 each in the Multicultural Center.

Light Refreshments will be served, ALL ARE WELCOME!

Multicultural dance party on Nov. 15

Join the Multicultural Student Council on Thursday, Nov. 15, for its second annual Multicultural Dance Party! Come enjoy this free event in McKinnon from 8-10 p.m.

The Multicultural Dance Party brings together students, faculty and staff to enjoy performances of different cultural dances and to learn them together. Food and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course) will be provided by the MSC.

See Carol Smith and her students perform and teach international folk dances. Rekha Ananthanpillai, an Elon freshman, perform Bharatanatym, a classical Indian dance. The Ballroom Dancing Club will also be performing and �þ��. And the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc will be performing and �þ�� step dancing.

“100 People” at College Coffee on Oct. 30

Join the Anthropology Club, Spectrum, and the Multicultural Student Council at College Coffee for the diversity teach-in “100 People” on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007.

This event represents the relevance of LGBT issues. 100 people wearing “Gay? Fine by me” t-shirts will “stand up” for tolerance and affirmation.

T-shirts will be on sale for $7 at College Coffee.

LGBT panel discussion

The Multicultural Student Council, in collaboration with the Anthropology Club, will be hosting a LGBT Panel Discussion on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Multicultural Center (Moseley 221-B).

This is an event continuing the celebration of LGBT History Month (October).

Anne Bolin, Anthropology

Join the Multicultural Student Council on Tuesday, Sept. 25, for their monthly dinner and a movie event. This month we are going to Azteca in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. The first 10 to sign up go for FREE! Sign up in the Multicultural Center (Moseley 221-B).

Meet at 6 p.m. at Boney Fountain. The movie will be showing at 8 p.m. in the Center.
