Then there are those who claim those same events were used as a means of controlling the population– that in fact 9/11 was born from a neo-conservative think tank and orchestrated by the very government that we think is here to protect us.

Whatever is the truth is– it is for you to decide, and for the filmmakers of “Loose Change” to debate with you.

Join Cinelon on Thursday, April 20th at 8:00 PM to have your own beliefs questioned. The film will be screened in McEwen 011.

Now accepting submissions for Elon Film Festival /u/news/2005/04/18/now-accepting-submissions-for-elon-film-festival/ Mon, 18 Apr 2005 20:33:00 +0000 /u/news/2005/04/18/now-accepting-submissions-for-elon-film-festival/ CINELON is now accepting submissions for its annual Elon Film Festival.

Submissions must be of short subject (around 1 to 30 minutes) and created by Elon students or staff. Films will not be censored, but crass content will be judged per discretion of the selection board.

Films may be submitted on DVD, VHS, MINI DV, DVCAM, SVHS, or BETA. DVD is preferred.

Works may be submitted to Christopher Disher at campus box 4684 or to Michael Frontani by May 8.

Cinelon had a greater number of script submissions this year and the decisions was difficult to make. Thank you to all of the writers who submitted their work to the Cinelon contest.

The script will be produced into a short film this year by Cinelon members.

Remember, the winning script will be produced by members of Cinelon and will be shown publically at the end of the year.

RULES:

-Your script is to be turned in on November 22nd, 2004, no later.

-Your script may be submitted to Chris Disher at campus box 4684.

-Your script must be written in the industry standard format.

-Your script must be around 5-15 pages in length.

-Your script may be written by more than one person, but must be submitted with their consent.

ELIGABILITY:

Only Elon students and faculty qualify for this competition.
