The men’s soccer team watched their first ever NCAA Tournament selection live from the Fat Frogg in Elon.

The 2011 Southern Conference Tournament champion Elon men’s soccer team will face the 12th-ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Division One Men’s Soccer Tournament. The game takes place Thursday night at 7 p.m. on Costal Carolina’s campus.

This marks the first appearance in the national tournament for the men’s soccer team who look to continue their hot streak Thursday night in Conway, South Carolina. The Phoenix are hoping to avenge an early season loss to the Chanticleers. The Phoenix jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the game, but couldn’t hold on as the Chanticleers knocked in two goals in the final ten minutes for the 2-1 win.

Tickets for the NCAA First Round are available by calling the Coastal Carolina Athletics Ticket Office at 1-877-4-CHANTS. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for youth (high school age and below) and students with a valid ID. All tickets are general admission, bleachers are first come, first served.
