What is a Learning Community?  A group of students residing in the same residential area, interacting academically and socially with each other and with faculty, and sharing the same academic major or program of interest.

Why apply?

  • To make friends
  • Meet LC faculty
  • Get good grades
  • Live with people with similar interests

How do I apply?

1. Pay the $200 housing deposit to the Bursar’s Office

2. Complete the online application & essay (current LC residents must reapply)

3. Submit your application by Monday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for returning Elon students.  RAs are peer educators responsible for community building in the residence halls.  Under the supervision of the professional Assistant Director staff, RAs develop social and educational programs and serve as a resource for students.  Other responsibilities include serving in the nightly duty rotation and assisting with housing-related administrative tasks.

RAs must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and have lived on campus for one semester.
