All members of the Elon community are invited to a special presidential announcement event to welcome Connie Ledoux Book at 12:10 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 9, in Alumni Gym.

Constance “Connie” Ledoux Book, provost of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and former ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ faculty member and administrative leader, has been elected the university’s ninth president.

The Phoenix defeated its third consecutive Top-25 opponent in a Sept. 30 victory at Rhodes Stadium.

The agreement in principle, approved on Sept. 25, is for the university and the school system to exchange properties and build a new elementary school.

The Phoenix takes on Charleston Southern in the annual Hall of Fame game - the home opener for first-year head coach Curt Cignetti.

The Doherty Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship invites participation by students in all ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ academic programs.
