Elon alumna Donna Oliver named president of Mississippi Valley State University

Donna Oliver '72 has been named the sixth president of Mississippi Valley State University, located in Leflore County, Miss. The announcement was made Oct. 22 by the Mississippi Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

The ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Board of Trustees has passed a resolution thanking Leary Davis, founding dean emeritus of the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ School of Law, for his work in establishing the school. The resolution was passed at the board's annual fall meeting Oct. 10.
