An Oct. 4 article features Tourek's short film in the works, "8 A.M."
A new film in the works from Michael Tourek, adjunct assistant professor of performing arts, was featured in a recent article from Yes! Weekly.
Tourek wrote and will star in “,” a short film which will be shot in Greensboro.
“Despite being inspired by a specific friend,ย 8 A.M. is what I call an Every Person story,โ Tourek said. โItโs about a poet who has always put his art second to the need to make a living until he faces life-changing adversity and rediscovers the beauty and poetry of the everyday world around him. Itโs about balancing family, career, dreams, and the sacrifices we make to keep that balance.โ
