Participants of the seminar attended a variety of sessions covering topics from developments in state taxation to broad ethical issues facing CPAs.
The Department of Accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business hosted approximately 120 Certified Public Accountants on Nov. 10 for the 19th annual Continuing Professional Education Seminar.
Participants learned about the latest Federal tax proposals and current developments in state taxation, recent developments impacting not-for-profit organizations, tips to enhance quality control and ensure peer review readiness, and the U.S. economic outlook. They also increased their understanding of big data sources, data revolution and their implications for real-time reporting, as well as gained perspective on broad ethical issues facing CPAs today.
