Collegiate Political Leadership Workshop introduces students to politics and public service

As the 2016 election season heats up, it’s a great time for students to explore their own path to political leadership and public service.

On Saturday, April 2, North Carolina ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ Compact and the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership will host a political leadership training workshop at Meredith College in Raleigh.

Designed for ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ or graduate students, this one-day workshop serves as an introduction to politics and public service, and includes sessions on political values, leadership planning, plus a question and answer session with a panel of elected officials.

IOPL is a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded in 1987 to educate future political and community leaders in campaign strategy, ethical decision-making, and governance, consistent with the organization’s philosophy of cooperative and collaborative leadership.

Registration closes on Tuesday, March 15. To register, contact Bob Frigo at bfrigo@elon.edu

This opportunity is sponsored by the Council on Civic Engagement, Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, Elon Votes! and Elon Volunteers!
