The Island Packet of Beaufort County, S.C., published a column by recent Elon graduate Tori Spearman '12 on July 18.
Spearman’s piece, titled “A Smile is a Universal Language,” focused on her study abroad experience in Jamkhed, India, during Winter Term 2012. She and her Elon compatriots volunteered with the Comprehensive Rural Health Project in some of India’s most desolate slums.
A Beaufort native, Spearman plans to attend the Charleston School of Law in the fall.
