The American Association of Philosophy Teachers has selected "When the 'Best Hope' Is Not So Hopeful, What Then? Democratic Thinking, Democratic Pedagogies, and Higher Education," Journal of Speculative Thought, 24:4 by Stephen Bloch-Schulman, associate professor of philosophy, as an honorable mention for the 2012 Lenssen Prize.
The Lenssen Prize is awarded in memory of Mark Lenssen (for more information see: http://philosophyteachers.org/awards.shtml). The 2012 prize recognizes the best research article regarding ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ and learning in philosophy published in 2010 or 2011, and only three papers out of approximately 180 articles are designated as honorable mention.
