The Environmental Studies Department is hosting its Fall Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 4:15 p.m. in the yard behind the Powell House. The Environmental Studies Department is launching a new major and a new minor that have never been offered at Elon.
The department will continue to offer A.B. and B.S. degrees in Environmental Studies, but now it has a new major in Environmental and Ecological Science and a new minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies.
Professor Michael Kingston, interim chair of the department, said he believes the new minor will be attractive to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs in the schools of communication and business as well as the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs in Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.
