The revitalized Elon in New York City program is just a few days old, but already students and faculty are energized by the opportunities that have been presented to them and by the potential of the nine-week course.

The 18 students in ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ's revamped Elon in New York City program are being tossed to the streets for nine weeks this summer. Their four-credit-hour course, called "The Streets of New York City," will force them to study the Big Apple from the ground level so that they may develop a deeper and richer understanding of the city in which they'll live and intern until Aug. 7.

“If you’re 7 years old, how many more years before you can come to Elon?” That was one of many questions School of Education Dean David Cooper asked second graders Tuesday at McDougle Elementary School in Carrboro, N.C., when he visited to share stories and information about the university as part of the school’s “go to college” mission.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ in a spring semester English class have published two children’s books and a coffee table book to help support The Conservators' Center, a nonprofit exotic wildlife sanctuary in North Carolina's Caswell County.
