Lindsay Travis Bedford ‘05 will be named the Autism Society of North Carolina’s "Teacher of the Year" on April 24, 2010, during the organization’s annual conference.
Bedford did her student ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ at Ephesus Elementary School in Chapel Hill and was later hired there. She has taught a self-contained classroom for students with autism for five years.
“I was very lucky and blessed to go through such a great program and work with professors that still have an impact on my ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ,” said Bedford, who earned her degree in elementary and special education.
