Step Afrika, a critically acclaimed professional company best known for promoting an understanding and appreciation of stepping and the tradition's use as an educational tool for young people worldwide, comes to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. show in McCrary Theatre.

Step Afrika pounds the floors and fills the air with intricate kicks, stomps and rhythms mixed with spoken word. One of the performing group’s members is Dionne Eleby ’08, a music theatre major and African/African-American studies minor.
