In the July 24 edition of the Triad Business Journal, Andy Haile, Assistant Professor at �þ��� School of Law, cautions against the N.C. General Assembly's tax compromise to finalize the state budget. After the article went to press, Governor Perdue threatened to veto the tax plan.

At the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Association of Law Schools (SEALS), held in August, seven members of Elon Law's faculty presented on subjects ranging from the 100-year anniversary of the NAACP and its impact on law and society, to �þ��� methods designed to improve the education of law students.

The fellows were chosen for having demonstrated exceptional leadership in community, collegiate, military, or other service, and for expressing interest in further study of leadership in relation to the law.
