Elaine R. Durr, a sustainability consultant from Decatur, Ga., has been named sustainability coordinator at ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ, a new position created as part of Elon’s sustainability master plan.

Be healthy.  University officials, in cooperation with the Town of Elon Police Department, want students to “Party Smart” at off-campus gatherings this year and will host two programs this week for students to meet local officers, learn the law and hear advice for hosting responsible social events.

The Class of 2012 gathered for the first time on Aug. 30, 2008, Under the Oaks of campus for New Student Convocation, where ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ leaders encouraged freshmen to make the most of their next four years, both in and out of the classroom.

¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ waiting for an ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ BioBus can now learn from their stop exactly how long a wait it is before the next bus arrives. Starting this fall, riders can call a telephone number on the bus stop sign, punch in a code from the same placard, then get an update on the next two buses scheduled to pick up at that location.
