Elon's fall 1999 enrollment is 3,961, including 3,701 ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs and 260 graduate students.
This year’s total enrollment is up 116 from last year. That reflects an increase of 56 graduate students and 60 ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ students. ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈ come from 42 states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands and 35 foreign countries. The female: male ratio is 40%:60%; 97% of all ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈs are full-time and 63% live on campus.
The latest figures from Institutional Research show that the four-year graduation rate jumped to 60.4% this year. This is a 5.6% jump over last year. The five- and six-year rates are still around 64%. The freshman to sophomore year retention rate held at 85%.
