Juneteenth Resources

On this day in 1865, Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, with a force of almost 2000 soldiers and read the Emancipation Proclamation to enslaved African Americans at the end of the Civil War. Today, we commemorate that moment.
