Brief Biography
Alison supports all students, but with a focus on School of Communications students, with their professional development. She advises students in one-on-one appointments and can assist with resumes and cover letters, career/major exploration, interview prep, job and internship search, LinkedIn, and e-portfolios. Her goal is to proactively inform, guide, and empower students so they can problem-solve, make informed decisions, and develop holistically, allowing them to reach their full potential.
Alison is also a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach (her strengths are Context, Achiever, Learner, Harmony, and Analytical). She has led interactive workshops for students and staff members to help individuals and teams discover the value that strengths can bring to their personal and professional lives. Before her current position, Alison served as Director of the PACE (Providing Aid Through พรพรศศ Employment) Program, and got her start working at Elon as a Career Advising Fellow in 2019. She is also a proud Elon graduate with a background in education, and previously worked as a special education resource teacher for grades K-2.
